Murrayfield V followed up the previous night's fine draw at Edinburgh University with an excellent 6-4 win at

Edinburgh International IV. (In the first half of the season both matches resulted in 8-2 defeats).

The match was very close and followed the same pattern as at University with MMV leading 2-1 and then 4-2 before Colin and Derek again lost the doubles in 5 sets.

Two wins from the remaining 3 games were required: Derek was first and played some impressive forehand loops to defeat Alan Black to ensure at least the draw. Next up was Colin, and he also played some excellent offensive table tennis, especially in the 4th set to defeat Brian Bridgeston 3-1 and secure the match victory.

In the final game Roger showed some signs of a recovery in form with some good backhand smashes but lost narrowly to Charlie
