Murrayfield 5 played out a tight, tense draw with West Lothian 2.
Roger led the way with 3 highly efficient victories, losing just one end in his 3 singles matches.  Unfortunately, Charlie and Bob were unable to back him up.
Despite starting brightly and taking the opening game against John McCulloch, Charlie began to play too passively and lost in 4. In his first game, Bob started slowly and despite taking the 3rd end 18-16, also lost in 4 against Kevin Milne who was on form with his forehand.

Bob and Charlie could only muster one victory each-both against Andy; Bob in a 5-setter and Charlie in just two (Andy generously/ bizarrely conceded at 2-0 down in an effort to complete the game by 10pm when the hall closed!).
Murrayfield missed two great chances to win the match. Charlie was particularly culpable in his match vs Kevin; losing his composure and then losing the 5th end 12-10 having been 10-8 up. Then in the final game of the evening, Roger and Charlie frustratingly lost out (again in 5 sets) in the doubles against John and Kevin. Despite taking the 4th game 11-5, they failed to maintain this form and lost the final end 11-7.
