Another solid win for team 6 (4 wins from 4) having been 2-1 down after the 1st set of singles. Ian losing unexpectedly to Alan , though he was a little unlucky with nets and edges (though Ian later had a few moments of fortune against Kevin) and Charlie failing to find any rhythm (and being faulted twice -for moving the table!) but scraping an 'ugly' win over James whose big left-handed top-spin forehand was firing.

Rowan was the top-performer on the night, especially in his demolition of Alan Grant (he should have won all three of his matches;  losing a 5-setter to Kevin in which a couple of errant serves towards the end cost him). After the previous week's debacle, Ian and Charlie played a solid enough game of doubles to beat Kevin and James in four. An enjoyable match played in a lively atmosphere; Corstorphine had several supporters; and Rowan also seem to be inspired when his own entourage turned up!
