After a  disappointing draw the previous week, Team 6 got back on track as they proved to strong for EI VIII.

Ian played steadily to overcome Marcin's erratic play. An unusually passive Alex then defeated David in three very scrappy sets before Charlie swiftly beat Ali (filling in for an injured Robert) who was using a new 'funny' bat and hit several slightly freakish winners.

Alex began to find his topspin game in beating Marcin in 4. In the only 5-set contest of the evening, Ian overcame a poor start (losing the 1st 8 points) to beat Ali: breezing through the final end which he took 11-4.
Charlie approached his best form against David (usually a very tricky customer against whom Charlie had struggled in previous meetings), winning 11-1, 11-1, 11-5.

After several poor doubles performances in previous matches, Alex and Charlie -though still shaky- played enough good points to beat David and Marcin in three.
With victory assured  Alex played with some real fluency in beating Ali-losing just 8 points in the process. Charlie continued his good play and hit some good FH's in comfortably beating Marcin.

  In the final match, Ian was unable to complete a whitewash; losing to David in 4 tight sets.
