With Ali Pakarian and Alan Ward of PO VIII in the top ten individual averages for DIv 3 last season it was always going to be a testing night. There were some promising signs for Murrayfield during this match, William Petit won his first match of the season with a convincing performance against Alan Gracie, as did Gerome Romey. With Mark Davidson unable to take anything from Ali and Alan Ward despite winning against Alan Gracie it meant another defeat for Murrayfield. With Gerome and William improving quickly and gaining match experiance, as well as the promising youngsters William Skinner and Rowan Murrayfield VII will be sure to pick up points soon.
